Day 2: Make This Bed With Awe

Hello my beautiful Class 4, hope you are all well and made a start on your journals, I am so looking forward seeing them!



Here's your next task. My bed is one of the most important part in my house, it is where I can relax and calm down. Making your bed is a bit of an art, so that will be the focus of today's task. I hope you enjoy it and keep making that bed every day.

Step 1: Make your bed as beautiful as possible
Step 2: Draw your bed, what's on it and around it (I have taken a shortcut with a photo-  you have plenty of time for a quality drawing)
Step 3: Label the items which make your bed special. I have made an example for you in the picture of my bed. Obviously, yours will look very different because you are a lot younger than I am.



For the writing part, describe your bed. Lots of room for luscious adjectives here! Tell the reader what you like to do on your bed, obviously sleeping, but also maybe day dreaming, phoning a friend, reading, drawing or chatting to your cat. How does your bed make you feel? Anything you can think of and would like to say is fine, this is your journal.

We Are Going On A Bear Hunt and We're Not Scared!

Kia ora amazing Class 4, I hope you all had a happy Easter and that the Essential Easter Bunny managed to reach you. Before I launch into today's task, here are some great pics which I found in my inbox today. I tell you, seeing some of you made me more happy than finding chocolate eggs! Emilia and her sister really love the painting Maia has a new bench buddy Measurement lessons in action with delicious results- maths is so much fun! Baxter not only worked his way to a chocolate fish- he thought the neighbours would enjoy it too so he drew another one on the concrete outside. ...and this is sitting on the MacArthur's mantel piece. The Comfort of Good Food

Hello Class 4, hope you are well. It took me awhile to figure out what day of the week it was today, but I looked it up and it is Friday. I will give you a journal break over the weekend, some of you put a lot of effort in so you'll have the weekend to finalise or catch up any tasks. I have just seen Xanthe's title page of her journal which is sumptuous! It is inspired by two books she has been reading. I didn't even say you had to make a title page, it was her own initiative. Great work Xanthe. I am part of an online group called Dutchies in New Zealand. Normally we share relevant information or a joke which nobody else than us Dutch immigrants gets. Since the lock down, people suddenly started posting all sort of delicious food they had cooked using their Grandparents recipes.
